He was born by Mata Gurdeep Kaur in village “Bilga”, and his father’s name was S. Sohan Singh. He was born on 5th July 1965. Historical Gurudwara blessed with GURU ARJUN DEV JI in village Bilga infused the devotion for Sikhism in him. His parents passed away in a young age. He shifted from Bilga to Ludhiana in 1978 and started the struggle of his life. During this period he learned the art of playing “TABLA” from Ludhiana’s renowned figure Bhai Bakhshish Singh Ji and also got the training of chanting the hymns as a student. He started serving the Sikh Community with Hymns by accompanying Bhai Bakhshish Singh Ji (Patiala Wale) as a Tabla Player and afterward served as Head Hymn Singer in “Gurudwara Gur Sagar” in Salem Tabri and “Gurudwara Singh Sabha” in Sabzi Mandi, Ludhiana. He also gave his services in “Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib” for 5 years. In these days Bhai Jagpreet Singh and Bhai Sucha Singh both are his group members. In his melodious voice arround 100 Gurbani Kirtan albums have been sold to the Devotees. He was Honoured during “300years Khalsa Saajna Diwas” for his continuous devotion to Sikhism.
