Sikhs celebrate the release from prison and the return to Amritsar of the sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind in 1619. The Guru was released from Gwalior Prison and took 52 innocent rulers with him without any war or battle. The name Bandi Chhor Divas means the Liberation of Prisoners Day.
